About the Role

We are currently looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager for our lifestyle venue Delizie Caffe Gourmet. The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the restaurant, mentoring and coaching all Front of House staff to ensure the highest level of customer service is consistently delivered, and acting as an effective link between management and the team to ensure smooth communication and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Supports the Restaurant Manager in the smooth and efficient daily operation of the café, ensuring service standards and operational targets are met.
  • Oversees opening and closing procedures and ensures all café areas are clean, organized, and well-presented at all times.
  • Maintains proper stock control by monitoring inventory levels, assisting with stock counts, and ensuring timely ordering of supplies and ingredients.
  • Ensures all equipment, especially coffee machines and POS systems, is checked daily and functioning properly.
  • Supervises and supports staff scheduling to guarantee adequate coverage during peak hours and busy periods.
  • Trains, coaches, and motivates staff to deliver fast, friendly, and consistent customer service.
  • Monitors staff grooming, uniform standards, and overall professionalism.
  • Handles guest complaints efficiently and interacts with guests regularly to gather feedback and improve the café experience.
  • Ensures full compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and local regulations.
  • Supports recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, and promotional activities or new product launches as required.
Qualifications
  • BA degree in Business Administration, or a Hospitality Degree
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in similar positions in a high-volume, fast-paced gourmet coffee shop
Required Skills
  • Fluent in English. Italian speaker will be a plus
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Windows applications
