Job summary

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Assistant Principal to join Al Ghad Charter School, Abu Dhabi, for January 2027. The role leads teaching and learning, drives school-wide improvement, and ensures a safe, engaging environment aligned with ADEK.

The successful candidate will work with the Principal and SLT to implement development plans, lead CPD for staff, and collaborate with parents and external agencies in a diverse setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or B.Sc. with PGCE is essential.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience: at least 6 years in education incl. 4 years teaching.
• At least 2 years in a middle leadership role.
• Experience leading school initiatives to improve standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and quality-assure staff and student activities for a safe learning environment.
• Oversee annual school assessment and master schedule with SLT.
• Supervise and evaluate teachers and curriculum staff.
• Lead student achievement improvement per plan and ADEK regulations.
• Coordinate data collection and reporting of attainment and progress.
• Collaborate with SLT on instructional methods and CPD planning.
• Complete required reports and support inter-department collaboration.
