Job description

Job Title: Assistant Manager GL Control

Location: Dubai

Reports to: Manager GL Control

Job Purpose

To monitor the Trial Balance of the Bank, identify and resolve potential exposures in the books of accounts, and implement GL management and reconciliation controls for both the Bank and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and identify differences between Core Banking and other Surround Systems with EGL and resolve them with help from IT, Operations, and other related teams.
  • Review, identify, and resolve issues in Failover, Level 2, and Level 3 reports.
  • Identify CAL + CPL differences and drive them to resolution with support from IT and other relevant teams.
  • Monitor and rectify daily Trial Balance differences in coordination with branches, Operations, and IT.
  • Monitor and rectify differences in Real, DE, Interbranch, Intersystem Bridge, GL vs Sub GL, and other Suspense accounts in collaboration with branches, Operations, and IT.
  • Review and monitor reconciliations for all Asset & Liability GL accounts, managing department-wise ownership of GLs.
  • Ensure compliance with approved policies, procedures, SLAs, and regulatory requirements to maintain quality standards and ensure risk mitigation.

Education

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree.
  • Professional qualification: ACA or ACCA.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in the banking sector.
