The Assistant Manager – Estimation (Water Infrastructure) is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tender documents, and BOQs for water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, treatment plants, and related works. The role supports tender submissions by ensuring technical and commercial compliance, cost optimization, and timely delivery of estimates.

Responsibilities
  • Estimation & Tendering
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and pricing for water infrastructure projects.
    • Study tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work to identify requirements and risks.
    • Coordinate with engineering, planning, procurement, and construction teams for inputs.
    • Prepare quantity take-offs and material take-offs based on drawings and specifications.
    • Analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations and finalize comparative statements.
    • Assist in preparing tender submissions, including technical and commercial clarifications.
  • Cost Control & Analysis
    • Review historical data and market rates to ensure competitive pricing.
    • Identify value engineering and cost optimization opportunities.
    • Evaluate variations, claims, and change orders during pre- and post-award stages.
    • Support budget preparation and cost benchmarking for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Coordination & Documentation
    • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams for pricing and technical inputs.
    • Ensure all tender documents comply with client, consultant, and statutory requirements.
    • Maintain proper records of estimates, assumptions, and tender submissions.
    • Support post-tender clarifications and negotiations with clients/consultants.
