Job summary

SELECTED is partnering with a well-established corporate services organisation in Dubai to appoint an Assistant Manager, Compliance. This hands-on AML/CFT role owns the day-to-day compliance framework, acts as the gatekeeper on client onboarding and due diligence, and serves as the operational point of contact for UAE authorities, working with the Head of Compliance.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in AML/CFT, KYC or compliance within a UAE regulated environment.
• Hands-on experience with CDD/EDD, UBO identification, PEP and sanctions screening.
• Working knowledge of UAE AML/CFT legislation and goAML reporting.
• CAMS, ICA, ACFCS or equivalent preferred.
• Sound independent judgement, high integrity and comfort working with minimal supervision.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day AML/CFT policies, procedures and controls across onboarding and licensing.
• Review higher-risk client applications, including KYC, EDD, UBO and client risk rating.
• Clear daily ongoing screening alerts across the client portfolio for PEPs and sanctions.
• Screen against UN Consolidated List and UAE Local Terrorist List at onboarding and updates.
• Assess internal suspicious activity reports and file STRs/SARs with UAE FIU via goAML.
• Respond to requests/directives from UAE authorities.
• Deliver quarterly AML/CFT training and prepare compliance reporting for senior management.

This is a hands-on AML/CFT role for someone who enjoys owning the detail. You will run the day-to-day compliance framework, act as the gatekeeper on client onboarding and due diligence, and be the operational point of contact for UAE authorities, working closely with the Head of Compliance.

What you will be doing

• Running the day-to-day AML/CFT policies, procedures and controls across the client onboarding and licensing process
• Reviewing higher-risk client applications, including KYC, EDD, beneficial ownership and client risk rating, before acceptance
• Clearing daily ongoing screening alerts across the client portfolio, covering PEPs, sanctions, adverse media and changes in ownership or risk profile
• Screening against the UN Consolidated List and UAE Local Terrorist List at onboarding and on every list update, escalating matches without delay
• Assessing internal suspicious activity reports and filing STRs/SARs with the UAE FIU via goAML
• Responding to requests and directives from competent UAE authorities
• Delivering quarterly AML/CFT training and preparing compliance reporting for senior management

What you will bring

• 3-5+ years in AML/CFT, KYC or compliance within a UAE regulated environment, ideally corporate services, trust and company services, a licensing body, Big 4 or financial services
• Hands-on experience with CDD/EDD, UBO identification, PEP and sanctions screening
• Working knowledge of UAE AML/CFT legislation and goAML reporting
• CAMS, ICA, ACFCS or equivalent preferred
• Sound independent judgement, high integrity and comfort working with minimal supervision
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus
