Job summary

Warner Scott in Dubai seeks an experienced Senior Financial Controller to lead month-end close, IFRS reporting and audit coordination across Middle East entities. You will drive internal controls, oversee tax and treasury support, and provide financial insight to Regional Directors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in accounting, audit or financial control.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and hands-on experience managing external audits.
• ACCA, CPA, ACA, CA, CMA or CIMA (fully or part qualified) preferred.
• ERP experience: Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle or similar; OneStream a plus.
• Must be based in Dubai, UAE.

Responsibilities

• Support the Financial Controller with month-end and year-end close for the Middle East entities, including management accounts, regional reporting packs and variance analysis.
• Prepare and coordinate IFRS statutory financial statements across multiple jurisdictions in the region.
• Coordinate external and internal audits across all entities: prepare audit schedules, resolve auditor queries and meet statutory filing deadlines.
• Monitor billing, payroll and payment processes, identifying anomalies, risks and control gaps.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations (provisions, accruals, prepayments, intercompany) to ensure balance sheet integrity.
• Strengthen the internal control framework and lead process improvement initiatives.
• Support Corporate Tax, VAT and withholding tax compliance, including reviewing tax calculations and returns.
• Oversee staff costs and overheads, and support Treasury on cash positions and working capital.
• Partner with Regional Directors and Country Managers on financial insight, budgets and quarterly reforecasts.
