Union Properties PJSC, one of Dubai's most respected real estate developers since its establishment in 1987, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Contracts Manager to join our team. Based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, this full-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a portfolio of iconic projects that have shaped the city's landscape, including MotorCity, The Green Community, and Index Tower. The successful candidate will support the Contracts Manager in overseeing all contractual aspects of our diverse residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are executed in compliance with contractual agreements, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to delivering integrated communities and sustainable, long-term value.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and administration of tender documents, contracts, and sub-contract agreements.
  • Support the negotiation of contract terms and conditions with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all parties adhere to their legal and commercial obligations.
  • Manage and process variations, claims, and potential disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with cost control, risk assessment, and the preparation of regular financial and contractual reports.
  • Liaise effectively with project managers, legal counsel, and other internal departments to ensure seamless contractual alignment.
  • Maintain meticulous and organised contract records, correspondence, and all relevant documentation.
  • Contribute to the commercial close-out of projects, including the settlement of final accounts.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a contracts administration or assistant contracts manager role, preferably within the UAE's real estate or construction sector.
  • A strong understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with exceptional organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite and familiarity with contract management software.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) is highly desirable but not essential.
