Baker Hughes is seeking an Assembler - Mechanic Technician to join our team in the UAE. You will perform complex assembly tasks for completion tools, set up specialized machinery, and ensure assemblies meet strict quality and safety standards.

You will mentor junior team members, interpret blueprints, and participate in testing and calibration activities in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaborative problem-solving to support energy solutions.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical or engineering training strongly preferred.
Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in mechanical assembly for oil and gas equipment.
Proven ability to interpret detailed blueprints and schematics.
Experience mentoring or leading a technical team is a plus.
Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Perform complex assembly tasks for completion tools and equipment to high industry standards.
Lead or mentor less-experienced assemblers and provide technical guidance on best practices.
Conduct advanced pressure testing and analyze results for compliance with specifications and safety regulations.
Set up and troubleshoot special purpose machines and equipment for completion tool manufacturing.
Inspect, test and calibrate assemblies to ensure proper function and quality.
Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and documents with accuracy.
Document assembly processes and test results; report findings and improvement ideas to management.
Champion safety procedures and foster a safety-conscious shop floor culture.

As an Assembler - Mechanic Technician you will be responsible for:

Performing complex assembly tasks for completion tools and equipment to the highest industry standards.
Leading or mentoring less-experienced assemblers and provide technical guidance on best practices.
Conducting advanced pressure testing and analyze results to ensure compliance with rigorous specifications and safety regulations.
Setting up operating and troubleshooting special purpose machines and sophisticated manufacturing equipment designed for completion tools.
Inspecting testing and calibrating completed assemblies to ensure proper function and quality standards.
Interpreting complex engineering drawings schematics and technical documents with accuracy and efficiency.
Documenting assembly processes and test results thoroughly reporting findings and improvement ideas to management.
Championing all safety procedures and foster a culture of safety and accountability on the shop floor.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical or engineering training strongly preferred.
Have a minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical assembly for oil and gas equipment proven proficiency in pressure testing is plus.
Have demonstrated experience operating and troubleshooting special purpose machinery for completion tool manufacturing.
Have exceptional ability to interpret detailed blueprints schematics and technical instructions.
Have experience mentoring or leading a team in a technical environment is a strong asset.
Have excellent communication organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Be able to lift up to 15kg and stand for extended periods.
Be comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and tools.
