Job summary

Smart Vision School in Dubai is seeking an enthusiastic Art and Design Technology teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Primary and KS2 Design Technology, and across KS3 Art and DT. The role includes contributing to curriculum maps, assessment approaches and GCSE provision development within a growing British Curriculum school.

The successful candidate will be comfortable teaching across age ranges, bringing creativity, practical expertise and a commitment to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, B.Ed or equivalent.
• Relevant degree or strong background in Art, Design Technology or related discipline.
• Experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology in a British Curriculum setting preferred.
• Willingness to contribute across Art and Design Technology and support GCSE provision development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high-quality Art lessons across Primary.
• Teach Design Technology within Key Stage 2, including potential Food Technology or Product Design.
• Teach Art and Design Technology across Key Stage 3 and contribute to GCSE provision development.
• Contribute to curriculum maps, schemes of learning and assessment approaches for Art and DT.
• Support development of specialist Art and DT spaces, resources and equipment.
• Assist in establishing pathways toward GCSE Art and/or Design Technology and lead/participate in displays and exhibitions.
• Promote creativity, independence, craftsmanship and safe, practical learning.
