Job summary

Nova International General Contracting is seeking an Architectural Draftsman to prepare and revise structural shop drawings in line with approved designs. You will work with structural engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure drawings meet IFC specifications and project requirements.

The role involves coordinating with architectural and MEP disciplines, producing BBS and reinforcement detailing, and incorporating consultant comments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years of UAE contracting experience.
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency; knowledge of Revit Structure is a plus.
• Solid understanding of structural detailing and reinforcement drawings.
• Good coordination skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple drawing packages under deadlines.

Job Description

As a Architectural Draftsman, you will work closely with structural engineers, project managers, and site teams to prepare and revise structural shop drawings in line with approved designs and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed structural shop drawings based on IFC drawings and design specifications.
• Coordinating structural drawings with architectural and MEP disciplines to avoid clashes.
• Preparing bar bending schedules (BBS) and reinforcement detailing.
• Incorporating consultant comments and revising drawings accordingly.
• Supporting the submission process for approvals and responding to technical queries.
• Assisting site teams with drawing clarifications and updates as required.
• Maintaining organized documentation of all drawings and revisions.
