We are seeking a highly skilled Architect that open to multiple locations, with a preference for Ras Al Khaimah or Dubai.
The role is responsible for managing architectural design coordination from project initiation through completion, ensuring timely delivery of drawings, compliance with quality and QHSE standards, and effective coordination with consultants, project teams, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will contribute to zero-error design and execution, support project feasibility and tendering processes, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure all Consultants drawings are received at the beginning of the contract.
- Ensure the timely Preparation of all related shop drawings at project sites.
- Shall monitor the proper control of the distribution of all drawings in the project in accordance with the project contract requirement.
- Ensures Preparation of all As-Built/Shop/Working Drawings in compliance with the Quality Assurance Procedure.
- Ensures all document prepared are store (soft copy) in the correct format, sequence and order in compliance with 4Projects.
- Consult with other team professionals about the design of the working environment & apprise the Project Team.
- Preparing and presenting feasibility reports and design proposals to the Project Team.
- Advising the Project Management team on the practicality of their project.
- Specifying the nature and quality of materials/alternative materials required as per project contract and requirement.
- Preparing tender applications and presentations for subcontractor.
- Negotiating with sub-contractors and other professionals as & when necessary.
- Preparing applications for planning and building control departments if stated in a project contract or specific requirement.
- Preparing tender documents for sub contracts.
- Review all tender drawings/documents and raise RFI (request for information) to all necessary parties.
- Project coordination with the sub-contractors.
- Attend coordination meetings with all necessary parties as and when required.
- Coordinate the project from start to finish.
- Perform regular site visits to monitor work progress, ensuring that the project is running on time and to budget.
- Resolving problems and issues that arise during construction.
- Ensuring that the environmental impact of the project is limited.
- Arrange Periodical Performance Appraisal of Design & Project Coordination Team and submit to Head –Manager – Infrastructure & Design, Manager Projects/Project Manager functionally, Senior Architect and Chief Technical Officer technically.
- Perform additional duty as directed. Manager – Infrastructure & Design, Manager Projects/Project Manager functionally, Senior Architect and Chief Technical Officer technically.
- Promote QHSE within the projects and ensure at all time the quality, environmental, health and safety procedures are followed and continue improvement until effectiveness of the Integrated Management System is achieved.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Architecture
- Over 8 years of experience
- Specialized trainings (if any): (Construction Management, LEED certification AutoCAD, Rivet, Architectural Desktop & 3D software)
- Area of experience required: Specialized buildings construction (e.g. hospitals, hotels, institutions, resorts, public transport) Infrastructure Construction Fields particularly Road & Bridges, Water Transmission Pipelines, Pumping Stations & Reservoirs
