Qualifications

• Clean UAE driving license for heavy vehicles (Category 6 or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of heavy bus driving experience, preferably in the UAE
• Solid knowledge of UAE roads, routes, and traffic regulations
• Experience in employee/staff transportation is preferred
• Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection and routine maintenance
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work flexible hours and shifts
• Possesses a clean and safe driving record
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy buses for employee transportation.
• Transport passengers according to routes and schedules.
• Ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs at designated locations.
• Follow UAE traffic laws, RTA regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
• Check brakes, tires, lights, oil, coolant and other systems.
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and general condition.
• Ensure passenger safety during boarding, travel and alighting.
• Coordinate with Transport Supervisor on route changes or delays.
• Record trip sheets, mileage, fuel usage and inspections.
• Assist passengers when required during boarding and alighting.
• Park the bus safely at designated locations after trips.
• Handle emergencies calmly following company procedures.
• Ensure no unauthorized passengers or materials are transported.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct with employees and passengers

Role Purpose:

The Heavy Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting employees, staff, and authorized passengers to and from designated locations while maintaining the assigned vehicle in good operating condition and complying with UAE traffic laws and company safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company heavy buses for employee and staff transportation.

• Transport passengers according to assigned routes and schedules.

• Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of employees at designated locations.

• Follow all UAE traffic laws, RTA regulations, and company transportation policies.

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.

• Check brakes, tires, lights, oil, coolant, and other essential vehicle systems before operating the vehicle.

• Report any vehicle defects, breakdowns, or maintenance requirements immediately.

• Maintain cleanliness and general condition of the assigned bus.

• Ensure passenger safety during boarding, travel, and drop-off.

• Follow approved routes and transportation schedules.

• Maintain accurate records such as trip sheets, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle inspection reports.

• Coordinate with the Transport Supervisor regarding route changes, delays, breakdowns, or other operational issues.

• Assist passengers when required, particularly during boarding and alighting.

• Ensure the bus is parked safely at the designated location after each trip.

• Handle emergency situations calmly and follow company procedures.

• Ensure no unauthorized passengers or materials are transported in the vehicle.

• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct while dealing with employees and passengers.

Requirements

• Valid UAE Heavy Bus Driving Licence (Category 6 or equivalent).

• Minimum 3 years of heavy bus driving experience, preferably in the UAE.

• Good knowledge of UAE roads, routes, and traffic regulations.

• Experience in employee/staff transportation is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection and routine maintenance.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Physically fit and capable of working flexible hours and shifts.
