Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Music & Lyrics Expert (Arabic) on a remote contract basis. The role focuses on evaluating AI-generated music and lyrics, rating quality, and ensuring originality. The position requires 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling.

Ideal candidates will be native or near-native Arabic speakers with lyric writing experience and knowledge of the Arabic music scene, plus ability to follow detailed English instructions.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic and ability to follow detailed instructions in English.
• Experience as songwriter/lyricist/performer/composer or music journalist.
• Knowledge of the Arabic music scene.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated music across genres and rate against quality standards.
• Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs to identify similarities.
• Rate lyrics based on quality, creativity, prompt adherence and originality.
• Assess whether lyrics sound natural focusing on word choice, slang and regional expressions.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance.
