Job summary

GEMS Education UAE is seeking an experienced Head of Arabic A - Curriculum Leadership in Dubai to shape the strategic direction of Arabic language education and raise student achievement. You will work closely with the CEO, Principals and Vice Principal for Arabic to establish ambitious academic expectations and lead improvement planning across the school.

The ideal candidate has proven leadership in Arabic curriculum design, assessment and self-evaluation, with a track record of improving

Qualifications

Degree in Arabic Language, Arabic Literature, Education or related discipline.
Appropriate teaching qualification or professional teaching certification.
Proven experience teaching Arabic A in a school environment.
Experience as Head of Department or curriculum coordinator.

Responsibilities

Shape a clear and ambitious vision for Arabic A teaching and learning.
Establish strategic direction with CEO and Principals.
Set high expectations for curriculum delivery and student achievement.
Lead development of subject aims, priorities and measurable academic objectives.
Monitor student attainment and progress across year groups.
Lead Arabic self-review and departmental evaluation activities.
