A construction company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Multiskilled Storekeeper to manage the storage and handling of Civil and MEP materials across multiple projects. The role involves reconciling materials, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the proper handling of company assets. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of software applications, and the ability to manage relationships with suppliers. Opportunities for training and development of assistants are included.
Operational
Demonstrates good knowledge in the use of computer software applications and database management, as well as administrative procedures.
Receives all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders.
Checks all incoming materials for possible damages, scratches or discrepancies and keeps the management adequately informed.
Ensures proper storage and release of supplies as requested ensuring proper documentation of all incoming/outgoing transactions.
Keeps an updated inventory and stock records (record the number and the kinds of supplies) of the supplies and equipment in store.
Answers questions regarding procedures and resolves discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, warranties and repairs.
Initiates materials request in coordination with project team and in parallel with stock balance.
Maintains the store/warehouse and records area in a neat and orderly manner.
Receives, stores, tags and tracks scrap items received from sites.
Takes necessary measures to ensure that materials are stored in a manner preventing damage or wastage.
Maintains healthy relationships with suppliers.
Demonstrates good knowledge in Civil or MEP construction material
Multiskilled Storekeeper as both MEP and CIVIL including handling multiple projects
Safeguarding of Company assets from damage/misuse and report any misuses
Maintain Asset Register at project level
Ensure Timely closing and submission of supplier delivery notes (48 Hrs)
Ensure timely submission of monthly (MCR) report
Proper close out at the end of the project(Document handover, return of all equipmwent,scaffolding,leftover materials etc..)
Advance knowledge of scaffolding and their usage.
Proper close-out report for all the external rented scaffolding at project
Follow up of project housekeeping along with the operation team
Ensure timely closing of AMANA internal invoices
Ensure the Timely arrangements of required equipment along with the documents
Daily close-out of equipment time sheets (Non operated equipment)
Proper coordination with supplier/AMANA for any breakdown or replacment of equipments/Assets without affecting project work in progress
Train and develop new storekeepers
Coordination with Mobilization team to ensure the timely closing of MOB and DEMOB at project
People Management
Identifies potential Store assistants, trains and develops them.
