Job summary

Ember Lifestyle Travel LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to help build a full-stack operating platform. You will contribute to architecture, develop AI-powered features, and turn modern AI capabilities into reliable internal products that boost team speed and decision-making.

You will work across data pipelines, APIs, and integrations, implement safeguards, and collaborate with the internal team to translate operational needs into working software in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience with AI-powered applications.
• Experience using LLM APIs and an understanding of RAG, embeddings, semantic search and vector databases.
• Strong full-stack development skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience building user-facing applications, APIs and database-backed services.
• Experience integrating third-party systems through APIs and webhooks.
• Strong debugging, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve the user-facing and backend features of ember s operating platform across interfaces, APIs, services and data flows.
• Develop AI-powered features to help the team find, understand and use institutional knowledge.
• Create ingestion and processing pipelines for structured and unstructured information and enable integrations via APIs and webhooks.
• Build internal tools to support profiling, journey planning, research and dossier generation.
• Test, evaluate AI outputs for accuracy and reliability; implement safeguards for sensitive information.
• Collaborate with the internal team to translate operational needs into working software and escalate major decisions.

ember is building a full-stack operating platform that strengthens how the business works bringing together the applications workflows integrations and data foundations that support exceptional travel and experiences while improving the productivity efficiency and decision-making of the team Intelligence is woven into the product rather than added as a separate tool As an Applied AI Engineer you will be a key hands-on contributor to this build working within the platform architecture and technical roadmap established by the Senior Applied AI Engineer You will help turn modern AI capabilities and well-designed software into reliable internal products that make the team faster better informed and more connected

What You ll Do

Full-Stack Product Features

• Build and improve the user-facing and backend features of ember s operating platform Work across application interfaces APIs services and data flows to turn real operational needs into straightforward dependable software

AI Features amp Knowledge Workflows

• Build and improve AI-powered features that help ember s team find understand and use institutional knowledge
• Develop retrieval and RAG workflows across client supplier journey and operational information with clear source attribution

Data amp Integrations

• Create ingestion and processing pipelines for structured and unstructured information Connect internal and third-party systems through APIs and webhooks helping turn fragmented information into useful well-organised data

Useful Internal Tools

• Develop internal tools that support client profiling journey planning supplier research and matching proposal and dossier generation sourcing and operational recommendations Build backend services databases and APIs that make these capabilities dependable

Reliability amp Safeguards

• Help test and evaluate AI outputs for accuracy reliability and usefulness
• Implement appropriate authentication permissions logging and safeguards for sensitive information

Collaboration

• Work within the architecture and roadmap established by the Senior Applied AI Engineer Build defined features integrations and AI workflows test debug document and improve existing systems and and escalation major architectural infrastructure or security decisions to the Senior Engineer Collaborate closely with ember s internal team to translate operational needs into working software

• Candidate Eligibility Open to candidates currently based outside the UAE The role is based in Abu Dhabi hybrid relocation and visa arrangements where applicable will be discussed with shortlisted candidates

What You’ll Need

• Essential: 3 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with exposure to AI-powered applications Experience using LLM APIs and an understanding of RAG, embeddings, semantic search and vector databases Strong full-stack development skills in Python and/or TypeScript Experience building user-facing applications, APIs and database-backed services Comfort integrating third-party systems through APIs and webhooks Strong debugging, communication and problem-solving skills
• Preferred: Experience working in travel, hospitality, luxury lifestyle, concierge, CRM or travel-technology environments Document extraction, classification or other unstructured-data workflows Cloud platforms, serverless infrastructure or LLM evaluation and monitoring Experience with internal business applications, CRM systems or travel technology
