As our Application Engineer, you will connect innovation with real-world performance by designing and delivering customized VFD, PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions for Water and Oil & Gas applications.
Your efforts will directly boost sales conversion, guarantee seamless installations and commissioning, and enhance customer satisfaction through expert technical support and detailed documentation.
Each solution you create will contribute to building a more connected, efficient, and sustainable future within one of the region’s most vibrant markets. This role is based in the UAE and reports to the Project Sales Manager, collaborating closely with the Service and Factory/Product Managers.
Provide pre-sales technical support, review customer specifications, assess application requirements, size VFD/PLC solutions, prepare technical proposals/BOMs, and support responses.
Coordinate with factories and clients to ensure technical completeness and accuracy.
Design and configure VFD, PLC, HMI, and SCADA integration. Develop control logic and customize automation solutions.
Program PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) using advanced programming language and handle industrial networking protocol (MODBUS RT/TCP, PROFIBUS, PROFINET).
Perform or supervise on-site commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
Deliver technical training and prepare documentation (application notes, wiring diagrams, FAT/SAT reports).
Act as technical bridge between Sales, Product Management, Service, and Manufacturing to resolve complex requirements and drive product improvements.
Evaluate competent System Integrators or Suppliers for project needs.
Support account managers on technical calls and contribute to RFQs/RFPs and participate in customer meetings and trade shows as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related engineering field.
At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience with VFDs and Industrial Automation (PLC/SCADA).
Practical experience in Water and Oil & Gas segments.
Proficiency in VFDs, PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley), HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial networking.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work within a matrix organization.
Fluent in English.
Willingness to travel.
