Main Purpose of Job

To work as part of the theatre team in providingquality care to patients undergoing anaesthesia and to provide skilled clinical and technical assistance to the anaesthetist

Key Responsibility Areas

• To provide a high standard of care pre- during and post-anaesthesia for patients following Hospital guidelines and Operation Theatre standards
• To ensure that the operation theatre and supplies are prepared and that all anaesthetic equipment is cleaned sterilised and disinfected pre-operative and post-operative
• To ensure that anaesthetic stock medication and equipment is controlled
• To ensure that patient records and documentation are maintained
• To actively promote patient satisfaction

Required Education

• Diploma in Anaesthetic Technology from an accredited institution college or university
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as Anaesthesia Technician according to the UAE requirements
• Licensed in Country of origin
• Current and valid ACLS certification
• Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate

Required Experience

At least 2 years experience as an Anaesthesia Technician in a hospital environment

Required Job Skills and Knowledge

• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
• Stock control principles and management
