Job summary

Aventus in Dubai seeks an Assistant Manager, AML Quality Assurance to design and execute testing across key AML controls, including monitoring, sanctions, KYC/CDD/EDD, and reporting. You will work with the Head of AML and senior stakeholders to strengthen the control environment and regulatory readiness.

The role requires 5–7+ years in AML/QA within banking, with strong knowledge of UAE AML-CFT regulations and proven risk-based testing experience. A postgraduate qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; postgraduate qualification such as CA/CFA or CAMS is an advantage.
• 5–7+ years' relevant AML/transaction monitoring, sanctions, KYC/CDD/EDD, or QA experience in banking.
• Strong knowledge of UAE AML-CFT, sanctions, and proliferation financing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an annual QA testing plan across AML controls.
• Report testing outcomes and gaps to senior leadership and committees.
• Recommend enhancements to the control framework based on test results.
• Conduct risk-control self-assessments per operational risk standards.
• Coordinate with AML-CFT teams on QA exercises and training.
• Support policies alignment with regulatory expectations and group standards.
