Key Responsibilities
- Allocate seasonal merchandise to stores based on approved store catalogues, product plans, market requirements, and launch timelines.
- Support season launch allocation by ensuring stores receive the correct products, quantities, and size ratios before launch dates.
- Manage new store allocation to help ensure full stock readiness for opening and early trading periods.
- Monitor store stock levels and make BTF adjustments based on sales performance, availability, demand, and commercial priorities.
- Maintain full stock availability for core lines by tracking stock gaps, replenishment needs, and allocation accuracy.
- Coordinate special stock allocation to support promotions, events, launches, peak trading periods, and business priorities.
- Consolidate stock when required to improve sell‑through, reduce imbalance, and support better product movement across stores.
- Maintain accurate BTF settings, ratio settings, stock flags, and master data files.
- Create purchase orders and delivery orders accurately in line with business process requirements.
- Generate stock availability reports comparing buys, goods received, and current availability.
- Prepare stock fulfilment reports by reviewing store plans against actual allocation and delivery performance.
- Assist in updating allocation reports, option availability reports, and plan‑versus‑actual analysis.
- Review product availability and highlight gaps, delays, overstock risks, or allocation issues to relevant teams.
- Analyse planned options against actual options to support better buying, allocation, and trading decisions.
- Assist in weekly store communication by sharing accurate allocation updates, stock movement information, and availability details.
- Support weekly trade communication with timely reports, allocation summaries, and product‑level insights.
- Assist in creating picture planograms to support store display planning and product presentation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure allocation activity is completed in line with internal process standards.
- Work at pace while managing multiple stock files, reports, deadlines, store needs, and season launch priorities.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's Degree is required; postgraduate qualification with an advertising or retail‑related background is preferred.
- 3‑4 years of experience in the fashion retail industry, preferably in an Allocator role.
- Strong understanding of stock allocation, replenishment, size ratios, store grading, and merchandise flow.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage large data files, formulas, reports, and analysis.
- Excellent computer skills and confidence working with retail systems, stock files, and reporting tools.
- SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Highly numerate with strong accuracy when working with quantities, ratios, stock levels, and sales data.
- Detail‑oriented and organized, with the ability to maintain clean master data and reliable reports.
- Quick learner who can adapt to fast‑moving retail priorities, seasonal changes, and new system requirements.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for store, trading, and internal team coordination.
- Able to work independently while also supporting a collaborative retail team environment.
- Positive attitude, strong personality, and willingness to take initiative.
