Job summary

EA Change Ltd in Abu Dhabi is seeking an AI Researcher to advance foundational ML models for finance and to bring research into production. You will work on large-scale pretraining, RL, and multi-agent systems with direct impact on live investment decisions.

The role offers access to substantial compute, a collaborative team, and full relocation support to Abu Dhabi. A strong publication or industry track record and deep learning expertise are essential for this challenge.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics or physics.
• Strong track record of published research, building models at scale in industry, or strategies running in live production.
• Hands-on experience with modern deep learning, including Transformers, reinforcement learning and sequence modelling.
• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow; strong Python skills; C++ a plus.
• Experience at a leading AI research lab, big tech research team, or quantitative trading firm or hedge fund is highly valued.

A well-capitalised quantitative investment firm in Abu Dhabi is building out its AI research function and hiring AI Researchers to work on problems at the intersection of modern machine learning and financial markets.

The team is small, highly technical and research-led. You'll have the freedom to pursue original ideas, access to serious compute, and a direct line from research to production, where models inform real investment decisions.

What you'll work on

• Pretraining and post-training large models, including reinforcement learning based approaches
• Foundation models for financial time series, built and trained from the ground up
• Multi-agent LLM systems that support and automate investment research
• Systematic alpha research using modern deep learning methods
• Taking research from idea to production, working closely with engineering and investment teams

What we're looking for

• A Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics or physics
• A strong track record in published research, building models at scale in industry, or strategies running in live production
• Hands-on experience with modern deep learning, including Transformers, reinforcement learning and sequence modelling
• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Strong programming skills in Python, with C++ a plus
• Experience at a leading AI research lab, big tech research team, or quantitative trading firm or hedge fund is highly valued
• Strong research instincts: you can frame an open-ended problem, design rigorous experiments and communicate results clearly
• Quant research experience is highly desirable, particularly applying deep learning to signal generation or systematic strategies
• Prior finance experience is welcome but not required
