Job summary

Scale AI in the UAE seeks a technically strong Engineering Manager to lead AI applications for UAE government agencies, based in the UAE. You will own engineering delivery, embed with government clients, and help Scale become the leading AI partner for public sector transformation in the region.

You will manage engineers, design full-stack AI solutions, and maintain robust API integrations, while liaising with stakeholders and driving multi-stream delivery in a fast-paced government-focused

Qualifications

• 6+ years software engineering with AI/ML and full stack background.
• 3+ years engineering leadership, building high-performing teams.
• Hands-on experience deploying ML models and LLM-based apps in production.
• Strong backend, API, data pipelines and frontend skills.
• Customer-facing experience with government or enterprise clients.
• Experience designing and integrating APIs at scale (REST/AI APIs).
• Translate government requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
• Excellent communication for senior government audiences.
• Arabic language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers building AI-powered applications for UAE government clients.
• Act as the primary technical contact for UAE government stakeholders, leading workshops and executive briefings.
• Design, build, and optimize full-stack AI applications end-to-end.
• Develop and deploy AI/ML solutions including LLM-powered apps and agents.
• Architect and maintain robust API integrations between Scale's platform and UAE systems.
• Partner with product, GTM, and government counterparts to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Represent Scale AI in client-facing settings including workshops and demos with UAE stakeholders.
• Manage delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Contribute to shaping team processes and best practices in Global Public Sector.
