Job summary

United Arab Emirates University (BIDAC) seeks Data Engineers to design, build, and optimize data pipelines powering AI/ML projects. You will develop and deploy LLMs and NLP workflows for education, government services, and healthcare, while preprocessing data and training models on diverse data sources.

Ideal candidates have strong Python, ML framework experience, and a solid foundation in data structures and statistics; familiarity with cloud platforms and production-grade deployment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Strong Python skills and libraries Pandas, NumPy, PySpark.
• Experience with ML frameworks TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistics.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and databases for AI/ML projects.
• Develop and deploy LLMs and NLP pipelines for education, government, healthcare use cases.
• Preprocess data, feature extraction, and model training on structured/unstructured data.
• Fine-tune foundation models (GPT, LLaMA, Falcon) on domain data.
• Collaborate on model evaluation, interpretability, and explainability.
• Integrate AI models with front-end apps, APIs, databases for deployment.
• Support publications, grants, and technical docs under BIDAC.
