Job summary

Keolis is seeking an Electronics/Engineering technician to provide maintenance and engineering services for the Dubai Metro AFC and CCTV systems. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance on gates, vending and station equipment across stations, depots and car parks.

You will install, service, and reconfigure AFC and CCTV equipment, maintain records, and support project deployments. A technically skilled, organized team player with a UAE driving license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Vocational certificate/diploma/degree in electronics, computer science, IT, electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to operate electronic test equipment and PC for AFC system maintenance.
• Good written communication for simple technical reports and method statements.

Responsibilities

• Assist AFC Team Leader in preventive and corrective maintenance of AFC and CCTV systems.
• Install, service and reconfigure AFC and CCTV in stations, depots and car parks.
• Carry out repair work using electrical/test equipment and reference drawings/manuals.
• Identify and replace faulty AFC equipment and handover to workshop for repair.
• Maintain maintenance records using CMMS and document performance of equipment.
• Support complex system implementations and new projects as needed.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained properly before/after activity.
• Perform shift and emergency duties as required.
• Follow directions from AFC Team Leader and senior staff.

The purpose of this position is to provide effective engineering and maintenance services covering the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) and CCTV system for Dubai Metro.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the AFC Team Leader in carrying out all level of preventive and corrective maintenance activities on AFC systems covering automatic gates, ticket vending machines, ticket office machines, central control and AFC station equipment and related components.
• Install, service and reconfigure AFC and CCTV systems located in stations, depots and car parks.
• Carry out repair and maintenance work with the use of hand, machine, electrical and electronic tools and reference to technical drawings, schematics, manuals, procedures and work instructions.
• Identify and replace faulty AFC equipment, handover/taken back to the electronics workshop for repair.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records of automatic fare collection system and equipment performance, work accomplished and other information using a computerised maintenance management system.
• Assist the AFC Team Leader and/ or other technical support staff to implement complex systems or new projects.
• Ensure the maintenance tools and equipment are maintained in good condition both before and after job activities.
• Perform shift and emergency duties when required.
• Perform and carry out duties as instructed/ directed by the AFC Team Leader.

KEY SKILLS

• Ability to use various electronic test equipment and PC for the maintenance of automatic fare collection system.
• Ability to write simple technical reports, prepare method statements and drawings as required.
• Possess good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Preferably hold a valid UAE driving license with good driving skill and experience.

EXPERIENCE

• Preferably 1-year work experience as a qualified electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, or electronics technician in maintaining and repairing automatic fare collection systemautomatic gates, ticket vending machines, ticket office machines, central control and AFC system related components.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFCATION

• Vocational trade certificate/diploma/degree in electronics/ Computer science/information technology/electrical or mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent.
