Job Purpose

As an Aeronautical Services Officer, you will ensure Aeronautical documentation and data used in an aircraft and in an operational environment ensuring data remains accurate and up to date.

In this role, you will;

  • Monitor, coordinate, control and revise without guidance or supervision and liaise with external suppliers company and state publications for example Aeronautical Information Publications (AIPs), Aeronautical Information Circulars (AICs), Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), Operational Manual Part C (OM-C) etc.
  • Apply for all over flight approvals for Emirates scheduled flights both seasonal and ad-hoc additional sectors, deliveries and charters. Maintain a database of contact details for those agencies which Emirates Flight Dispatch and Flight Ops Support to liaise with including ATC units, state civil aviation authorities dealing with over flights, plus ATC at Emirates online destinations and alternates. Maintain Emirates airport directory files and the Airport database.
  • Liaise with Emirates stations to set up briefing procedures for existing operational handling agents, newly appointed handling agents or new stations.
  • Work with the charting vendor to bring enhancements to charting products. This involves raising and tracking operational issues. Check and maintain quality within the electronic charting product prior to release to wider pilot community, either cloud based or on a master hard disk.
  • Cross-check data and release Airport Mapping Database (AMDB)/Airport Moving Map (AMM) from charting vendor for Emirates authorised airports. Ensure CDs are available monthly for Emirates Engineering to load on board the aircraft.
  • In conjunction with the Flight Management System (FMS) team and Fleet Technical Pilots, create enhanced coding for FMS/Charts and tests in the Simulator prior to official release.
  • Review and analyse Performance Based Communication and Surveillance (PBCS) reporting on a bi-annual basis for submission to regulatory affairs and UAE GCAA.

  • Assist with administration of amendments to the Operations Manual Part C (OMC) and Company Crew Information (CCI).
  • Data maintenance, support and testing of crew briefing applications to include: Flight planning system management, Navigational database verification, Company data maintenance, Lido/Flight integrity verification using big data management tools; Continuous Lido/Flight development and functionality enhancement including system upgrade (UATs).
  • Strategic route efficiency and Flight Dispatch support enabling operational efficiencies through active collaboration with industry stakeholders; Special events (airspace closures, airspace restructures, etc) management on a pre-ops level.
Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below;

  • 5+ years in Flight Ops / Admin.
  • Degree or Honors (12+3) or equivalent.
  • General knowledge of flight operations preferred
  • Previous airline experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines with a high‑quality output.
  • Passion for learning and self-development.
  • Strong oral and written, and interpersonal skills & be computer literate.
