Job summary

AECOM is a global leader in infrastructure and environmental health and safety services, based in Abu Dhabi. The role supports development and implementation of ES&H programs and ensures compliance with federal and state requirements across projects.

With a focus on supervision of SHE activities, you will monitor hazards, investigate incidents, and contribute to safety training and emergency preparedness within a collaborative, global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in SHE roles, with a focus on project supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform ES&H duties to meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining safety programs and procedures.
• Monitor hazards and diseases that could be present in the work area.
• Investigate accidents, injuries and hazards in the workplace with others.
• Suggest improvements in processes, design, procedures and equipment to minimize hazards.
• Participate in employee training, emergency preparedness and program quality assurance.

Job Description

• Under direct supervision, performs basic and routine duties in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the ES&H standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements.


• Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs, systems and procedures.


• Assists in monitoring hazards and diseases that could be present in the work area.


• Works with others to investigate accidents, injuries and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.


• Participates in recommending improvement in processes, design, procedures and equipment to minimize hazards.


• Participates in employee training, emergency preparedness and assures the quality of programs.
