Adjunct Faculty – Edinburgh Business School, Dubai

The School of Social Sciences / Edinburgh Business School at Heriot‑Watt University Dubai is inviting applications for Adjunct Faculty positions in Business Management, Accounting, Economics and Finance, Marketing and Operations. Applications will be held on file and considered if a vacancy opens.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Undertake teaching and assessment duties on academic programmes; support colleagues in course delivery and other activities.
  • Develop relevant teaching materials in appropriate formats; contribute to content design and delivery.
  • Mentor and supervise students, providing well‑documented, timely formative and summative feedback; offer pastoral support.
  • Develop and maintain strong links with business and industry organisations and the education sector.
  • Collaboratively work with colleagues across Dubai, UK and other campuses and external networks to share learning and foster future collaboration.
  • Commit time for contact hours, classroom preparation, assessment, feedback within a 12–15 week semester.
Qualifications
  • PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Ability to teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes.
  • Minimum five years industry experience (if no prior university teaching experience).
  • Previous teaching or training experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills; fluent in English.
Other Requirements
  • Applicants must be in the UAE and hold a resident visa; provide a No‑Objection Certificate (NOC) unless UAE National/Golden Visa holder.
  • Required documents: coloured passport copy with visa page, Emirates ID (front & back), attested degree, NOC, degree equivalency certificate.
