Job description

The Department of Environmental Sciences and Sustainability is seeking qualified candidates to teach Physics at our Abu Dhabi campus, starting in August 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching general physics courses, developing curriculum plans to enhance student learning, facilitating class discussions, ensuring student engagement, maintaining class records, and assessing student coursework. Collaboration with colleagues on research interests and co-curricular activities is also expected. The candidate will typically report to the department head.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or terminal degree in any field of Physics. Candidates should have experience teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute to research in a specialized field. A strong record of teaching is essential. While adjunct positions primarily focus on teaching, there may also be opportunities for Physics-related research.

The Department of Environmental Sciences and Sustainability

The Department of Environmental Sciences and Sustainability in the College of Natural and Health Sciences (CNHS) at Zayed University (ZU) offers both undergraduate and graduate programs designed to meet the UAE’s expanding environmental and sustainability needs. Qualifications

Applicants must hold a terminal degree in the relevant field, recognized or eligible for recognition by the UAE's Ministry of Education.
