Job summary

Woopel is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our growing team in Sharjah. This role offers an international environment and opportunities to develop skills in finance and reporting.

We expect 5+ years of accounting experience, a BSc/BA in accounting or related field, and proficiency with accounting software. Relocation to Sharjah is welcomed and encouraged where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with accounting software and reporting tools.
• Willingness to relocate to Sharjah if required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
• Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
• Participate in financial audits (analyses of organization’s finances).
• Implement financial policies and procedures by initiating, designing, monitoring systems.
• Compliance with applicable tax regulations.
• Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
• Provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
• Stay up-to-date with technological advances and accounting software.
