Job summary

Work standard is seeking an experienced Accountant for our Sharjah, UAE office. The role entails managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording of transactions and provide financial guidance to management. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 2 years of relevant experience and proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
• Strong knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management review
• Monitor company expenses and recommend cost-saving strategies
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns
• Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues
• Provide financial analysis and guidance to assist with business decision-making
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of transactions
