Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant cum Sales Executive to join our Rent-a-Car business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and actively participating in sales and customer service activities to help grow our client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Duties:

Record daily transactions including invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses.

Reconcile bank statements and maintain up-to-date ledgers.

Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting.

Ensure compliance with VAT and other regulatory requirements.

Handle petty cash and maintain cash flow reports.

Manage accounts receivable and payable.

Coordinate with auditors and prepare necessary documentation.

Maintain proper documentation of contracts, vehicle records, and insurance.

Handle walk-in and phone inquiries regarding car rental services.

Prepare rental agreements and explain rental terms and conditions to customers.

Upsell additional services such as insurance, GPS, child seats, and long-term rentals.

Follow up on leads and convert inquiries into bookings.

Maintain relationships with corporate clients and identify business opportunities.

Assist with vehicle delivery and return processes when needed.

Maintain accurate records of bookings, customer feedback, and complaints.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.

2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the automotive or rental industry.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and Microsoft Excel.

Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Valid driver’s license is a must.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of local tax and financial regulations.

Experience in sales, especially in the car rental or automotive industry.

Customer-focused attitude with a proactive sales mindset.

Bilingual abilities (e.g., English + Arabic or another local language) are a plus.
