Job summary

Euro Staffs is seeking an Accountant in Ajman, UAE, to handle daily accounting, AP/AR, and VAT-related tasks. This full-time, on-site role requires retail/ FMCG experience and strong Excel skills.

You will support month-end close, maintain invoices and stock records, and collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience in retail, FMCG, or similar environment.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices.
• Experience with POS, retail sales, inventory, and supplier accounts is advantageous.
• Strong MS Excel and accounting software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records and financial transactions.
• Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments.
• Reconcile cash, POS, and bank transactions; monitor cash discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable; prepare supplier invoices and payment schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate daily accounting records and financial transactions.
• Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments.
• Reconcile daily cash, credit card, POS, and bank transactions.
• Monitor cash collections and coordinate with cashiers regarding cash discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare supplier invoices, payment vouchers, and payment schedules.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain purchase and sales records.
• Assist in monitoring inventory and stock-related accounting transactions.
• Coordinate with the purchasing and warehouse departments regarding invoices and stock records.
• Prepare bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly closing and financial reporting.
• Prepare VAT-related records and support VAT filing requirements.
• Monitor expenses and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of petty cash and expense claims.
• Assist management with financial reports and accounting analysis.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and UAE regulations.

• Perform other accounting duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a hypermarket, supermarket, retail, FMCG, or similar environment.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices.
• Experience with POS, retail sales, inventory, and supplier accounts is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
