Job description

Role

The Accountant plays a vital role in supporting the Finance department by managing sales revenue tracking, commission and branding fee accounting, and general financial operations across Europe and the Middle East. Based in our Dubai corporate office this role reports to the Finance Manager, the role supports monthly closings, general ledger maintenance, and ensures compliance with local regulations while working closely with the broader commercial and business development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and reconcile real-time sales revenue reports across multiple regions.
  • Track and account for branding fees and commissions earned and payable.
  • Coordinate with sales and business development teams to ensure accurate financial treatment of deals.
  • Prepare and distribute commission reports in accordance with internal policies.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Maintain general ledger entries and perform regular reconciliations.
  • Handle billing, collections, and supplier payments.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with United Arab Emirates VAT regulations and support related filings.
  • Support ad hoc finance projects and tasks as required by the Finance Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Strong understanding of local regulatory and tax compliance.
  • Experience with commission and revenue tracking preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SUN, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities.
