The Role

We are looking for a talented consultant to join our growing Technology communications team as an Account Director on a secondment basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of client accounts, contributing to and helping shape strategic direction, and proactively identifying opportunities to add value. You’ll be expected to offer thoughtful advice and counsel to clients, while also taking an active role in new business development, including pitches and networking for leads.

Additionally, you will support the development of junior colleagues through training and mentoring, helping to foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day account work of clients, including sourcing opportunities, drafting materials and ensuring that work is delivered in a timely manner
  • Developing messaging, press releases, Q&A and other communication collateral
  • Efficiently and effectively managing logistics around results days, announcements and events
  • Developing and leading engagement programmes with media, bankers, analysts and other third-party stakeholders
  • Sourcing and securing media and event opportunities for clients.

Skills and Experience

  • 8 to 10 years’ experience working with leading agencies.
  • Experience working with clients in the technology sector is key.
  • Experience working in the corporate sector is a must.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in putting together communication strategies, tactical planning, and being the client lead.
  • Ability to foster strong relations with clients, ultimately ensuring work is complete, delivered on time and earning their trust.
  • Writing skills is a given - ability to offer juniors constructive feedback on how to strengthen content pieces.
  • selling in those concepts to clients and seeing them through to execution.
