Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding UAE is seeking an ACC Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations, drive AFR pricing and RFQ activities, and mentor the pricing team to meet client and airline requirements.

You will oversee tariffs, respond to RFQs, and coordinate systems to enhance service and cost efficiency while negotiating competitive rates with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree.
• Experience: More than 2 years in freight/logistics or related field.
• Skills: Proficient in pricing, RFQ, channel management and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Set day-to-day operational objectives to implement AFR pricing & RFQ/tender management plans.
• Advise and mentor team on pricing and RFQ activities; monitor tariffs.
• Support RFQ development for high-priority bids; lead launch calls.
• Coordinate processes and design systems to improve service quality and align with goals.
• Supervise team to meet customer and airline requirements and budget guidelines.
• Maintain databases to enable quick responses to network queries.
• Build relationships with customers and airlines; lead negotiations.
• Negotiate cost-effective and competitive rates with airline suppliers while meeting service specs.

In this ACC Supervisor role, you will have to perform the following key tasks:

• Responsible for setting day to day operational objectives to ensure implementation of the AFR pricing & RFQ/tender management plans to support the commercial plans and processes in line with business objectives, corporate guidelines and policies
• Advises and mentor team members on pricing and RFQ activities and monitor timely and accurate updating of local tariffs
• Support RFQ development, particularly for high priority RFQs provide detailed guidance and for critical RFQs conduct launch calls
• Coordinate processes and design systems to enhance service quality and alignment with company’s direction and long-term goals
• Close supervision of the team’s tasks to ensure customer and airline requirements and service, cost and budgetary guidelines are met
• Support the development and maintenance of databases with specific information to enable quick responses to specific network queries
• Maintain close business relationships with customers and airlines and lead negotiations
• Responsible for setting day to day operational objectives for the team to enhance services and processes to secure cost-effective and competitive prices and negotiate competitive rates with airline suppliers while meeting desired service specifications and transit time targets
• Support implementation of new solutions, services, lane and traffic development
• Track issues, assist in identifying opportunities and apply best practices for AFR pricing focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency

Stakeholders

• Understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers and key stakeholders
• Regular contact with other specialist departments
• Cooperate with 3rd parties e.g. external service providers

Management Responsibility

• Supervise non professional employees
