Job Description

GR8 school is reinventing education around the individual learner. Students pursue academic excellence while developing the confidence, judgement and practical skills to apply what they learn.

GR8 school is reinventing education around the individual learner. Our model combines AI-powered, self-paced academic learning with expert teaching, consistent personal guidance and direct access to professionals at the forefront of their fields. Students pursue academic excellence while developing the confidence, judgement and practical skills to apply what they learn.
Adaptive learning reveals what each student already knows, where understanding needs strengthening and when they are ready for greater challenge. This insight allows our team to personalise the learning journey and focus human expertise where it can make the greatest difference.
Learning Architects guide each student’s whole path across academic subjects and futures pathways. As the constant presence in the learning room, they build trusted relationships, sustain motivation and coordinate support. They also create and deliver workshops that develop essential personal, interpersonal and practical skills.
Academic Mentors bring deep subject expertise and a passion for teaching. They curate the digital learning experience and take responsibility for subject progression, working directly with students through high-impact one-to-one and small-group interactions. Their masterclasses deepen understanding and prepare students for assessments and high-stakes examinations.
Futures Mentors connect curiosity with authentic experience across all curricula. Drawing on industry and professional expertise, they help students explore questions alongside scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs and other practitioners. Students can investigate a global challenge, develop an invention or pursue a venture, discovering how knowledge can change the world around them.
Together, these roles ensure every student is known, challenged, supported and inspired. We are seeking ambitious colleagues to help design, soft-launch and refine GR8, turning this vision into a daily experience for young people.

  • Evaluate and, where necessary, create high-quality resources, checking subject accuracy, clarity, accessibility, curriculum alignment and suitability for independent learning.
  • Review and contribute to question and assessment banks, developing mastery-based assessments that reveal understanding and misconceptions and inform decisions about progression.
  • Interpret assessment and learning data, using professional judgement to identify who needs intervention, consolidation or extension and to evaluate the impact of support.

  • Lead focused masterclasses, consolidating difficult concepts, deepening understanding and preparing students for assessments and high-stakes examinations through subject-specific guidance and examination techniques.
  • Work closely with Learning Architects, sharing subject priorities, intervention plans and progress updates so each student receives coordinated guidance.
  • Contribute subject expertise to wider learning, supporting Learning Architects’ skills workshops and helping Futures Mentors connect projects with rigorous academic thinking.
  • Help shape GR8’s academic model, designing and trialling resources and assessments, contributing to the soft launch and using student outcomes to refine the subject experience.
