Responsibilities

Academic Faculty members are responsible for providing effective instruction in one or more of the Health Sciences disciplines (Health Information Management, Emergency Medical Services, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Nursing), depending on their area of expertise. They use various learning methodologies that support a learning-by-doing philosophy, teaching competency-based curriculum to second language learners within a student‑centric learning environment that fosters respect for students, their culture, and traditions. Academic Faculty members also assist with the development and preservation of system‑wide and directorate‑specific policies, and participate as active contributors to academic and extra‑curricular events, academic advising at the College, and within the community.
