Job Title: AC Technician

Job Summary

The AC Technician is responsible for installing servicing troubleshooting and repairing air conditioning systems and related HVAC equipment. The technician ensures systems operate at peak performance follows safety procedures and provides timely maintenance and repair support for residential commercial or industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain and repair air conditioning units, HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and refrigerant-related issues
• Perform routine preventive maintenance including cleaning coils, checking filters and testing system performance
• Recharge refrigerants and check for leaks
• Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats and electrical controls
• Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Test system functionality after repairs or installation
• Maintain accurate service records and work orders
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes and environmental regulations
• Communicate with clients or supervisors about system issues, recommended repairs and completed work
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and service calls as needed
