Job summary

Atkins Middle East is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to lead a team on onshore Oil & Gas projects. The role involves coordinating with office and site teams and delivering designs and technical studies on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in design, strong leadership, and proficiency in STAD Pro/MathCAD with understanding of AutoCAD. The position requires field surveys and travel with a rigorous work ethic.

Qualifications

• B.E. or equivalent Civil/Structural Engineering degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years relevant work experience; postgraduate degree preferred.
• Ability to lead a team of discipline engineers and designers.
• Extensive experience in design of onshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Proficient in STAD Pro, MathCAD; knowledge of AutoCAD beneficial.
• MS Office skills and typing ability.
• Technical report writing skills.
• Physically/medically fit for offshore/onshore surveys and travels.

Job description

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Oil & Gas Projects in the design filed and should be having exposure in leading a team of Engineers and Designers. The ideal candidate will be required to work in coordination with in our team in the office & site and need to develop a healthy rapport with the Client personnel. He should be enthusiastic, hardworking and willing to shoulder responsibilities to make activities happen at the right time.

Responsibilities

• 1. Independently participate in multiple projects.
• 2. Preparation of conceptual / facility definition & similar technical studies.
• 3. Design of equipment foundations, Pipe racks, Industrial Buildings.
• 4. Preparation of Material Requisitions, Bid Reviews, Technical Evaluation & Vendor Data review / approval

Requirements

• 1. B.E or equivalent Civil / Structural Engineering Degree in Engineering from an accredited University, with minimum of 15 years relevant work experience. Preference will be given for those candidates holding Post Graduation in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 2. A leadership and communication skill to lead a team of discipline engineers and designers is a prerequisite.
• 3. Requires extensive experience in design of onshore Oil & Gas related projects
• 4. Desirable expertise in relevant engineering software/s like STAD Pro, Math CAD.
• 5. Computer skills in MS-Office suite of software, including reasonable typewriting skills.
• 6. Introductory knowledge of AutoCAD and intelligent Software/s.
• 7. Technical Report writing skills
• 8. Physically/medically fit to perform off-shore/on-shore site surveys/travels.
