The Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is seeking to fill a faculty position at the assistant/associate professor level. The successful candidate for this position must have a Terminal degree in Architecture (Ph.D., D. ARCH or Master’s). The primary responsibility of this faculty position is to teach design studios and courses in digital architecture with an emphasis on teaching contemporary design processes, computational tools, and AI-driven methods. The ideal candidate should foster creativity and critical thinking in students using both traditional design approaches and emerging digital platforms. The candidate will also contribute to a dynamic curriculum, mentor students, engage in research, and participate in academic and community service.
